
Jerry is an active member of the International Association of Taxicab Regulators and has presented papers at previous annual conferences.

Jerry has offered assistance to many taxicab regulators with respect to regulation and safety issues in the taxicab industry.

Jerry is an experienced administrator, having worked for the City of Winnipeg (1970-1971), the Government of Canada (1971-1997), Confederation College – SBEDIF Project in Ukraine (1997-1999), Province of Manitoba – Director of Employment and Income Assistance (1999-2001)and with Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation since 2001.

International work experience has included a World Bank project to modernize the Russian (CIS) Employment Service which included on site work in Moscow, Irkutsk and Tomsk Oblasts (1996-1997).

Jerry worked in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine for 2 years as the Director of the Ukrainian-Canadian CIDA funded “SBEDIF project” to promote small business development in the IF Oblast. In 2005 Jerry worked as a consultant on a USAID funded project in Jordan to assess the tourism transportation sector.

Jerry still finds time to indulge in his passion for soapstone carving. During the past 3 years he has been commissioned to create 3 stone carvings that were presented as “Pioneer in Aviation” awards by the Manitoba Aviation Council.
