Phil Fearon became involved in Licensing regulation
for the municipal government of Edmonton in 1996. In his role as the
Chief Licensing Officer for the city, he is involved in creating and
administering municipal legislation governing all forms of business
licenses, including vehicles for hire. One component of this work
entails making administrative decisions regarding the suspension,
revocation or cancellation of licenses. To aid in this task Phil has
taken a number of 'administrative justice' courses which have expanded
his ability to accurately analyze detail, weigh various forms of
evidence and make sound decisions based on fact. In his spare time, Phil
enjoys the company of friends and relatives by participating in
motorcycle touring.
